Now I am ever calm. Quiet. Silent. Just an observer. I watch life unfold, knowing everything fleets — no matter how intense, serious, emotional, terrible, awesome, tiresome, or interesting it may seem. The world hurls storms, and I do not run; it offers joys, and I do not cling. I see beginnings dissolve into ends, faces fade from memory, promises turn to dust, and dreams scatter in the wind — yet I remain untouched.

Emotions rise and crash like waves, but I do not drown. Pain strikes; I feel it only as a passing shadow. Happiness arrives; I greet it without expectation. People fight, scream, love, betray, rejoice — all temporary performances on a stage I watch silently.

I have learned that trying to hold life tight is futile. Every attempt to force meaning, to extract permanence from chaos, is a fool’s labor. I do not participate; I witness. I do not demand; I allow. I do not fear loss; I know it is inevitable.

Even the most intense experiences — heartbreak, triumph, fear, ecstasy, exhaustion — fade. Every moment is a grain of sand slipping through my fingers. Once this truth was bitter; now it is serenity. A cold, clear serenity that does not need validation, attachment, or hope.

I am calm because I understand: nothing belongs to me, nothing endures, everything fleets. To fight is to suffer. To cling is to deceive oneself. To observe is to be free.

And so, I watch. Always calm. Always silent. Always knowing that the world moves on, indifferent to struggle, indifferent to devotion, indifferent to me.
